Cherry Chip Cookies

I bought a bag of cherry chips at Wal-mart forever ago and finally decided to put them to good use.
Here's what I did:
Mixed: 1 white cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 c. oil
1/4 c flour
1 c. cherry chips
Roll the dough into balls and put on a cookie sheet. Press down a bit with your hands to flatten them just a little. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Allow to cool and then frost with your favorite vanilla frosting recipe or use store bought.
So easy and yummy!

Baby boy nursery

My baby is four months old and I think his room is finally done, at least for now. :)
It seems a room is never really done, right?
This time around I did away with bumper pads completely and made a little banner for the front of the crib. I will probably have to remove it when he gets a little older for safety reasons, but it will work for a window as well.

Embroidery hoops with scrapbook paper above the crib

The bookshelf that I made and the cute DI chair I found

The tree I painted and leaves and birds made out of scrapbook paper. This took
a really long time! But I had fun making it.

Up-cycling

This is my effort to up-cycle. I made these purses for my girls from Caprisuns we saved on a previous lake trip. I was a little concerned about sewing them on my sewing machine, but they sewed up just fine.

Cute little DI find

I found this cute little rocking chair at the DI (second hand store) for $5. I should have
taken a before shot. It was a dark brown color. I'm really loving torquoise these days and I love
it on this chair.  And I must say that after awhile of not painting or crafting anything (this pregnancy has really rocked my world! :)) it felt so good to do something again and get those juices flowing. I am feeling a bit better, so hopefully I can get going on some of the projects I have on my list.

Guiltless Key Lime Pie

This is an easy, yummy and guilt-free dessert:

1 pre-made low-fat graham cracker crust
3 light yoplait key lime pie yogurts
3 oz. sugar free lime jello
8 oz. cool whip

Mix jello with 1/4 cup boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved. Add yogurt one at a time and mix well after each one. Fold in cool whip. Pour into pie crust and let set up in the fridge.
It's also really good using lemon yogurt and lemon jello.
